The U.S.S. Coronado log system, in concert with the Coro listserver, is a mechanism for the officers and crew of the ship to write down their characters' impressions about the ship's mission. Characters can be developed, or can interact with other characters in the written logs. It's also a good way for players to define what their characters do during their off hours!

The log system is tied to the listserver, and vice versa. Any log posted to the log system will be transferred to the listserver automatically. Any log that is posted to the listserver will be posted here on a weekly basis. In this way, interested parties can keep up with Coronado's personalities and subplots!

You can review the following Coronado log system capabilities from here:

  • Current: This is the basic view of the log system, and allows you to access logs by the name of the sim. Just select the sim name that you like, and you'll see all of the logs that were posted for that sim, by date, title, and the name of the character who wrote the log. You can also post your own logs from here!

  • Previous: This view allows you to access recent Coronado logs, and is most useful if you haven't been keeping track of the listserver or have left the sim for a couple of weeks. The display will show you all of the logs for the previous week's Coro sim...

  • Threads: This display will give you a full view of the log system's posts since April 2000, allowing you to view logs by sim name, poster, and any replies that occur. This is a very useful view if you want to view a lot of the Coronado logs...

  • Search: If you remember that a log included a specific word or phrase, but you can't remember which log it was, you can use the log system's search capability to find it!

  • Profile: Once you have a user ID for the Coronado log system, you can use that user ID and password to access your user profile. Many options are available here, including the option to have everything that is posted to the log system sent to your e-mail address.

  • Help: From here, you can access help and instructions on using Coro's log system, including how to use special features in your logs like boldface or italicized type or other text effects. You can also access all sorts of interesting information about how the Discus message board system works!

By selecting one of the items at the menu at the top of your PADD, you can access the information referenced above. All officers and crew of U.S.S. Coronado are encouraged to review the Help information and confirm their Profile is correct.

You can learn more about the Discus software package by viewing the program credits for the software. I highly recommend it!

Once you're done here, tap the Return key at the bottom of your PADD, and you will be returned to the index.
