Jason Vogel
Post:Chief Medical Officer
U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-97901
Species:Human Male
Birthplace:San Francisco, North America, Earth
Age:26

Physical Characteristics:
Height/Weight:176 centimeters / 75 kilograms
Hair/Eyes:Brown / Brown

Personality Characteristics:
Marital Status:Single
Family:Mother: Dr. Julie Amy Vogel, Zoology Instructor, Starfleet Academy; Father: Captain Zachary Williams Vogel, Commanding Officer, U.S.S. Halsey; Brother: Lieutenant (JG) Jonathon Vogel (26 as of 2402); Sister: Cadet Annette Mary Vogel (22 as of 2402)
Dominants:Charismatic, loyal, careful
Notes:Captain Williams was a career Starfleet officer and he expected his children would follow in his footsteps, from security up to command. His marriage with Dr Julie Vogel was considered by many to be unusual, as she was a spirited intellectual and the complete opposite of his idea of strength and power. She thought her children should go where they wanted. The first son developed a keen interest in security and military tactics and upon graduating from Starfleet Academy went to a security position on the U.S.S. Sarabachi. He currently serves there as Assistant Chief of Security. Vogel, perhaps as a result of being picked on by his older brother, moved to despise tactics of brute force and found a fascination in the zoology his mother practiced. He found a special interest in wanting to treat wounded and injured animals but became frustrated since his patients couldn't communicate with him their ailments. He talked to his parents about this and his mother advised him to consider Medicine at Starfleet Academy. He gave it due consideration and after an internship with Dr Kramer he decided medicine was his career. Vogel entered and completed Starfleet Academy a few years later.
Interests:Vogel's interests include 20th century history and biological science.

Personal History:
Profile:Vogel's medical history is normal. His psychological profile reveals a slightly extroverted individual, that manages himself under stress to an acceptable level. At the limits though, Vogel has shown definite tendencies to demonstrate stress-related fatigue quickly and retreat from the stressful stimuli.

Starfleet Experience:
Stardate 237802.14:Vogel is born in the Norfolk Civillian Medical Center, without incident.
Stardate 239506.23:Vogel meets Doctor Crane for an medical internship to determine if medicine is a career choice for him. He develops a close friendship with Doctor Crane, who serves as a mentor for Vogel.
Stardate 239608.25:Vogel is starts his first day at Starfleet Academy, having been accepted with an influential letter of recommendation from Doctor Crane.
Stardate 240005.16:Vogel completes Starfleet Medical Training, along with the required general education requirements at Starfleet Academy with honors.
Stardate 240007.10:Ensign Vogel begins his career in Starfleet, accepting a post on U.S.S. Nightingale.
Stardate 240102.17:Vogel decides that serving on a medical vessel is too boring an in an attempt to bring some action into his carrer, requests a transfer to U.S.S. Coronado.
Stardate 240104.22:Vogel comes aboard the U.S.S. Coronado as Assistant Medical Officer.
Stardate 240111.25:Vogel becomes Chief Medical Officer of U.S.S. Coronado after the death of Lieutenant Ungtae Brie in the Phfor attack that crippled the ship.
Stardate 240204.29:Jason Vogel is promoted to Lieutenant (JG).
Stardate 240211.04:Jason Vogel is promoted to Lieutenant.

Post:Former Flight Operations Officer
U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-97901
Species:Reorsan Braid
Birthplace:Reorsa, M64 (Multiple Locations)
Age:105 (First formed on Stardate 229611.23)

Physical Characteristics:
Height/Weight:120 centimeters (length) / 111 kilograms
Number of Cords:Ten (20 eyes, 30 functional limbs)

Personality Characteristics:
Marital Status:Not Applicable
Family:Not Applicable
Dominants:Caring, thoughtful, inquisitive, unpredictable
Notes:Having thirty limbs to move around leads to great speed when the need arises. Must use at least two limbs to manipulate many objects in its world. But having thirty limbs not being used to move gives him a lot of manipulating power. The third cord from the top of the braid does all of the communicating to other non-braid species through the translator he wears. Unlike most of his kind, Caring-Thoughts tends to be able to keep himself together at times of high stress. Having spent a great deal of time around humans, he has learned to speak almost normally though at times he will revert to his native "single-single", plural-single" and "plural-plural" verb tenses when speaking. Often, he will start sentences about itself with an "I-we". Most humans find his name to be rather odd so they've gotten in the habit of calling him Car for short.

His background is rather erratic. At times he is hesitant to speak on it though he does recall everything that has ever happened to him from the moment his Braid was originally formed.

Addendum: Due to the recent death and replacement of two cords, Thoughts will be unpredictable is his actions and thoughts until the cords have become acclimatized to being joined in a braid. There is even a chance that a name change will be required. This period will last for about six months.

Interests:He will go out of his way to learn anything new. Being a caring, thoughtful being, he likes to help out where ever he can and will often help out in both a medical and engineering capacity depending on where he is needed most.

Pre-Starfleet Experience:
Stardate 229602.23:All ten cords that form the first version of the Thoughts Braid are born in a remote region of the Reorsan Mountains.
Stardate 229611.23:The first version of the Thoughts Braid is formed. This braid was known as Erratic-Thoughts due to his tendency to start one thing and never finish it before jumping to something else. This included conversations. The crew of the Churchill found this extremely annoying.
Stardate 229703.12:The Thoughts Braid leads a small revolt against the crew of the Churchill who, through their continuing Prime Directive violations have begun to mold the Braids into a more advance race. Thoughts, along with many of his fellow braids, did not appreciate the meddling in his races evolution.
Stardate 229810.17:The revolt is finally put down in a short battle that saw the first and last conflict between some Braids and the Crew of the Churchill and other Braids. Some of the Braids had sided with the Churchill crew. Thoughts lost three cords in the battle.
Stardate 229810.30:Thoughts receives three new cords. The new Braid no longer has any anger towards the crew of the Churchill.
Stardate 229904.23:The name of the Thoughts Braid is changed to Sincere Thoughts as he leads a conference between the Braids and Churchill crew to setup a permanent joint government.
Stardate 230005.30:Named as Lead Reorsan Liaison to the newly setup joint planetary government.
Stardate 230410.14:One cord is killed while the diplomatic ship he is traveling on is attacked by an unknown ship. (The ship classification would later turn out to be that of a Pfhor vessel.)
Stardate 230410.18:The Thoughts Braid receives one new cord.
Stardate 230505.10:After the end of the adjustment period Thoughts retains his name as Sincere Thoughts.
Stardate 230708.05:Resigns his post as government Liaison and joins Reorsan Starfleet Academy.

Reorsan Starfleet Experience:
Stardate 230708 -
231108:
Attends Reorsan Starfleet Academy.
Stardate 231108.23:Assigned to U.S.S. Churchill as Tactical Officer, Rank: Cadet
Stardate 231205.28:Promoted to Ensign.
Stardate 231309.18:U.S.S. Churchill is attacked by a Pfhor scout ship. Thoughts takes command of the bridge as all the senior officers are knocked unconscious. He saves the ship and bloodies the nose of the Pfhor. This is the first official contact between Reorsa and the Pfhor.
Stardate 231309.20:Promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade
Stardate 231512.01:Promoted to Lieutenant
Stardate 231603.30:One cord is bitten by an unknown insect on a routine away mission. At first glance Thoughts suffers no ill effects.
Stardate 231707.13:The bitten cord has spiraled down into insanity as the long term effects of the bite have completed their course. The insanity begins to spread to the other cords causing Thoughts to behave in stranger and stranger fashion. Promoted to Lieutenant Commander.
Stardate 231911.25:Promoted to Commander and given command of a patrol ship, despite the increasing odd behavior.
Stardate 232105.26:Deliberately crashes his patrol ship into a school on the outskirts of Churchill Downs, causing the death of his crew and 35 other people.
Stardate 232105.28:Court-martialed for his actions and placed in a mental institute where it is discovered that the long forgotten insect bite infected Thoughts with a virus that degraded the brain cells of its victim. The infected cord is destroyed and three others die shortly there after.
Stardate 232106.01:Four new cords are joined to the Thoughts Braid. Horrified by what he had done the Thoughts Braid shuts down mentally and is left in the mental institute while it adjusts to it's new situation.
Stardate 232107 -
233412:
Remains institutionalized.
Stardate 233501.05:Released from the institute. Is informed of a demotion all the way to ensign for his actions. Resigns his commission.
Stardate 233501 -
239503:
Serves various functions as a civilian at Reorsan Starfleet Academy. From Academy grounds keeper, to academy teacher and everything in between.
Stardate 239503.06:Name is changed to Caring Thoughts as he re-enlists in Reorsan Starfleet. Assigned as an Ensign to the Diplomatic Corps. Off ship position as Command is still hesitant, after all these years, to place him aboard a ship.
Stardate 239610.03:Assigned as Assistant Engineer to the U.S.S. Churchill. First ship bound assignment since the Incident.
Stardate 239805.21:Billet Change to Assistant Medical aboard the U.S.S. Churchill.
Stardate 239909.12:Promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade.
Stardate 240105.21:First Contact between the U.S.S. Churchill and the U.S.S. Coronado, member ship of the recently arrive Starfleet Task Group 5.4.
Stardate 240106.01:Thoughts requests transfer to Reorsa to take a quick course on Liaison duties to assist the newly arrived task group in acclimatizing to the M64 Galaxy.
Stardate 240201.07:Assigned to U.S.S. Coronado as a System Specialist (Engineering / Medical disciplines). Also serves as the official Reorsan Ship Liaison.
Stardate 240204.22:Promoted to Lieutenant
Stardate 240206.17:Somehow contracts the long forgotten Vimmage Plague and loses two cords.
Stardate 240207.08:Returns to active duty with two new cords.

Braid Cultural Notes:
Stardate 228603.14:U.S.S. Churchill arrives and makes first contact with the somewhat primitive (by Federation Standards) natives of Reorsa. The first of many Prime Directive violations.

Summary:The native species of Reorsa are the "Braids." The Braids (who refer to themselves as "'sa", or "attendants") are a community lifeform made up of six to twelve smaller lifeforms known as "cords." A cord is a dog-like lifeform with six limbs averaging approximately one-third of a meter in length and 15cm in height and varying in color. Cords have only animal intelligence, and handle all of the basic biological needs of the lifeform: reproduction, waste extraction, food and water consumption, and sleeping are all done by the cords. Cords gather together into groups to form a Braid. When gathered in this manner, a Braid is sentient and intelligent. Once a Braid is formed, the same group of cords will continue to form the same Braid. Braids break up into their component cords periodically to handle their biological needs. If a cord is killed or dies of natural causes, the Braid will take on one or more replacement cords. Each cord stores most of the total knowledge and experience of the complete Braid, and a Braid can pass that knowledge on to another Braid by loaning the other Braid one or two of its cords for a short period. Braids are therefore functionally immortal: only by killing half or more of a Braid's cords is the Braid considered "killed." Cords of such "killed" Braids are considered "unbraided" and are joined individually to established Braids. As Braids age, they take on more cords, eventually reaching twelve cords, which appears to be the normal maximum (although there are a few individual Braids with more cords). Braids with more cords are measurably more intelligent than Braids with fewer cords. A single Braid averages 1.2 meters in length and is inhumanly quick and dextrous, but not particularly strong.

Braid culture is extremely socialist, with the good of the whole seen as paramount and individuals seen as not particularly important. Braid names are descriptive of either the individual cords or the Braid's personality: "Swift-Wind", "Silken-Parts", "Solid-as-Mountain", "Thought-Before-Action", etc. When an important decision faces a group of Braids or the whole species, the affected Braids will form a "Maker-of-Decision." Each affected Braid temporarily detaches two cords and provides two cords for this. This very large group of cords then links to form a sort of "Super-Braid" with the knowledge and experience of the entire group. The Maker-of-Decision then makes whatever decisions are needful to the affected Braids, passing the decisions, the basis for them, and instructions for the group back to the individual Braids when their cords are detached and returned.

The Braids are the Churchill descendants most steadfast allies in M64. Braid technology was very primitive when Churchill arrived, and one of the earliest decisions the Churchill descendants made was to accelerate the advancement of Braid technology, in direct violation of the Prime Directive. This cooperation, however, assured the survival of both groups. The Braids are the planet's most intelligent known species, but it is unknown if they would have developed further without assistance -- due to the lack of metals, they had reached a technological impasse. In the combined society, Braids use their unusually high manual dexterity to perform most of the manufacturing and precise technical work needed on the planet. Braids make particularly good pilots, engineers, and doctors. They are not very effective as counselors, diplomats, or ground combatants. There are several million Braids on Reorsa at any given time depending on the unbraided cord population.

Kathleen Hammond
Post:Former Chief Science Officer
U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-97901
Species:Human Female
Birthplace:Aspen, Colorado, North America, Earth
Age:28

Physical Characteristics:
Height/Weight:163 centimeters / 56 kilograms
Hair/Eyes:Red / Green
Notes:Kathleen is telepathic with some telekinetic ability but does not often use her telekinetic abilities, being ashamed of being found out to be different.

Personality Characteristics:
Marital Status:Single
Family:Father: Admiral Marshall Alexander Hammond; Mother: Dr. Anita Carroll Hammond; Brother: Dr. Mark Andrew Hammond; Sister: Andrea Carroll Hammond; Dog: Admiral Xenon (German Shepard)
Dominants:Impulsive, adventurous, studious, lonely
Notes:Kathleen was raised secluded from others, kept isolated from all but the doctors in her mother’s clinic, and being the object of a "private" not disclosed, not exactly Starfleet condoned study.

Aboard U.S.S. Coronado, Kathleen enjoys discovering the mysteries of the universe, in her duties on the staff of the lab of the U.S.S. Coronado and conducting her experiments. As Chief Science Officer, her responsibilities include overseeing all the science personnel and reporting to the Executive Officer and the Commanding Officer, though some of her staff may also advise the Executive officer of their area of specialization directly without going through her.

Interests:Her interests lie in the areas of ancient cultures use of psionics and their natural abilities, known and discovered by Starfleet and also not found except by other archeologists and outside anthropologists. She is also an expert in genetics and virology, being able to manipulate viruses into varied forms.

Personal History:
Family:Both of Kathleen's parents are career Starfleet as is her older brother. Her younger sister is actually anti-Starfleet considering all the special treatment her sister Kathleen was given but she also felt sorry for Kathleen, being also mistreated by the Starfleet project leaders. When Kathleen tried to tell her sister the details about the ‘black project', Andrea turned a deaf ear. Andrea shut her out and they haven't communicated since Kathleen joined Starfleet Academy, which is very painful for Kathleen, as she wants very much to be a family. She never had the close family she dreamed of and saw other families having. She came home for a visit in her junior year and her sister went and stayed with a girlfriend during the entire visit and didn't return home till several days after Kathleen returned to the academy.

Her older brother has joined her mother in genetic research and works with her in the clinic. His research projects, on his own time, unknown to anyone including his mother, are directly funded by under the table funding by Starfleet's research department.

Her father is hardly ever home due to his duties as an Admiral in Starfleet, being a career officer. He has left messages for Kathleen but she never returns them, still upset that he could agree to the genetic manipulation that turned her into the freak she feels she is.

Kathleen had a choice to make, being isolated in obscurity for the rest of her life or joining Starfleet permanently--as a career officer, with the understanding that her bio-records would be classified. She chose Starfleet as a way to "save her life" and her sanity, when the unauthorized, questionable black project was discovered and shut down permanently--supposedly. Reluctantly at first she agreed. Someone had always been making important life's decisions for Kathleen. When as an Ensign she met Kathryn Janeway, she realized her career had changed. She would be in a learning situation on the U.S.S. Coronado far above anything she had experienced in either the lab or in Starfleet Academy.

Early Life:Basically Kathleen lived much of her life with an older brother and a younger sister on a horse ranch, where Arabians were raised for sale, just outside Aspen, Colorado, in The United States, on Earth. Kathleen traveled several miles daily to and from an isolated lab which her mother owned where she underwent extensive genetic manipulation before birth. As she grew, she underwent extensive observation, sometimes staying days and nights--even for weeks--at a time. She underwent the genetic manipulation under the direction of Dr. Hans von Vorhensen, a renegade scientist working on black funded projects for clandestine departments of Starfleet research departments, who’s projects were later disbanded by Starfleet command.

School Years:While both her brother and sister went to private school, the only connection to the outside world Kathleen had was at night when she was driven home from the lab by her mother from the clinic and an occasional ride on one of the horses on their ranch just outside Aspen. She had a tutor/companion who was actually a bodyguard--but she did not find this out until she was told of the choice she had to make for her life’s career, she just felt her tutor/companion was just an instructor hired as her friend due to her special circumstances.

Birthplace:California, North America, Earth
Age:25

Physical Characteristics:
Height/Weight:186 centimeters / 84 kilograms
Hair/Eyes:Black / Black
Notes:Drew often awakens from sound sleep in a panic that he cannot explain. He has not seen a counselor for this deep anxiety as of yet.

Personality Characteristics:
Marital Status:Single
Family:Sister: Vale Arroway Stylus
Notes:Due to the fact that Drew is both Human and Romulan, he is knowledgable in both race's culture. Romulans as a society have something of a seige mentality and a superiority complex. They generally view all other races as inferior, which makes Drew's existance as a half-breed not so ordinary. He is fluent in Federation Standard (English) as well as Romulan.

Personal History:
Background:Being born in a middle class family in Paris, California, Drew had a pretty standard childhood. The only tragedy was the death of his mother, Shelly, when he was 13. His father worked on Earth as a building contractor where he and his sister Vale Arroway (6 years younger) would often spend time at work with him.

In this high school he wasn't one of the best students, though he did excel in subjects like speculative thought, spy history, and xenobiology. His interests were more centered on what wasn't known, as opposed to what was. It was clear from an early age that he was very bright. He learned quickly and was curious about everything. However through his curiosity he developed an impulsive habit of finding out secrets. It has now taken him to the point that it mentally bothers him when people say "it's a secret" or "can't tell you" and has been known to go to great lengths to find out what he doesn't know. One might even go so far as to say he hates secrets with a passion, having a mental need to know what is unknown.

The summer of Drews's 18th year he entered Starfleet Academy. During his time there, he discovered something of a hidden talent for flying. It seems he had quite an affinity for it, and decided to pursue it. When he graduated, he was second in his fighter class, besting over one of the most skilled students in his class, Jade David Falcon, who nearly beat him in the deciding simulated mission. Shortly after his fleet academy training was complete, he enlisted in the Starfleet Marine Corps as a pilot.

Alados ha-Soron
Post:Former Specialist Liaison
U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-97901
Species:Loktai Male
Birthplace:Jobojer, Galashas, Loktai
Age:247

Physical Characteristics:
Height/Weight:213 centimeters / 134 kilograms
Hair/Eyes:Special (Bronze) / Yellow
Description:Alados is a huge presence. He takes up the space of two humans, but has very little body fat. In fact, Alados is well-exercised and boasts very prominent musculature. He has blue-gray skin that appears slightly gravelly but has the consistency of pacyderm hide. Alados' ingestion cords are a gleeming brown and extend (when hanging) to his knees.
Notes:Like all Loktai, Alados has "chicken" legs, with the knee bending towards the rear that end in two long digits. Similarly, he has two primary digits and one thumb digit on his hands. Also typical of his race, Alados has no mouth or nose. Hearing is provided for by small ear holes. His luminous yellow eyes afford him excellent vision, including night vision, some infared, and very limited ultraviolet. Additionally, though Loktai lifespans may seem incredible by the standards of most species, the relative developmental progression of a Loktai far slower than that of a human. Thus, a Loktai at 85 life-ages is about as advanced as a human at 10 Terran years.

Personality Characteristics:
Marital Status:Unbound
Family:Progenitor: Torson ha-Soron da-Galashas; Matriarch: Servera sa-Soron tem-Galashas; Brothers: 14; Sisters: 17
Dominants:Noble, committed, loyal
Notes:Alados can be considered, by some, quite stubborn. This actually stems from the fact that his race as a whole is rather prone to resist change. Their resistance to change stems from their longevity. Despite this, Alados can adapt to changing situations and is very versatile. He has an eccentric sense of humor, but one typical of his people. He finds most Federation humor odd and cruel. Those Alados bonds with are people he staunchly defends through life and into death. He is noble and chivalrous to a fault and, due the matriarchal nature of Loktai society, holds women in very high esteem. He is extremely dedicated and will fight for any cause he finds to be just.

Interests:Alados is a born fighter. When he's not tending to his duties, Alados spends nearly every other waking moment in combat simulators, the gym, or some other location to hone his fighting skill. His one concession to his creative side is painting. Alados is one of the few among his people that actually have quite a knack for painting in the "old style." He was an unknown talent among his people, however, and none of his works were released to public display.

Personal History:
Family history:The Soron family, while not famous by any means, is one of the longest-living families in the history of Clan Galashas. Its routes can be traced back to the first city-state (kesirvosh) of Galashas. The family's current progenitor and matriarch, Torson and Servera, have been bound for over 510 life-ages (roughly 600 Terran years) and in that time have reared 32 children, including Alados. Torson is the venerable overseer of several key mechanical construction facilities on Loktai. Servera is currently one of the twelve members of the Clan Galashas sub-council (Consival-tir). Alados is the 29th of Torson and Servera's 32 children.

Early life:
Birth to 150
Alados' first 150 life-ages were fairly normal. He was provided the best education on Loktai during this period, but aside from this advantage, Alados' childhood doesn't stand out in stark contrast to any other Loktai child's. He did, however, demonstrate an usually high aptitude when it came to canvas-based artistry. Many of young Alados' paintings were said to show great promise by some of the prominent Loktai artisans. Nevertheless, Alados continued on with his regular education, feeling it to be very important to get a firm grounding in everything before focusing on one goal. This would soon change. While learning of the legendary exploits of Irin, Alados became enthralled with the idea of giving one's life to the service of one's people. Before his 135th life-age, Alados had decided that he would join the Loktai Armed Forces.

The Citadel:
150 to 190
Joining the Armed Forces is the highest calling any Loktai can aspire to. Thus, when Alados announced to his family that he intended to join, they were thrilled with his decision. After completing his education, Alados left his home in Galashas and traveled to the central continent of Jintakajul, on which the central Consival headquarters are located. Awed by the beauty of the architecture in the ancient city, Alados rapidly grew to love the city and was soon consumed in training, his ardent belief in his people reinforced beyond measure. While at the Citadel (Birk-Ijok), Alados kept to himself, for the most part, focusing intently on his training. He used what little free time he felt he could spare to paint. He sent completed paintings home to his family.

The Service:
190 to 240
Alados was a prominent force in his unit. Serving as the equivalent of a Starfleet Marine, Alados used his adept skill with the wrist-mounted false matter claws (gijor) to defeat a number of incursions into Loktai space by unknown invaders. Additionally, Alados began training with the standard military fighter (Kabidaju) and demonstrated a knack for piloting the small but powerful fighter. He was often called upon to reinforce Loktai engagements with pirates attempting to rade Loktai resource operations. All in all, he performed admirably as a righteous warrior of his people.

The Pfohr Incident:
241-247
When long-range scouts returned from alien space with news that a powerful threat was encroaching on the territories of a number of races, the Loktai people experienced their first real threat from outside invaders. The sheer ferocity of the Pfohr was unlike any of the pirate raids launched into the Loktai system. While the Loktai operated a powerful navy, even they might fall under the might of the Pfohr. The idea of an alliance with these outside races arose and nearly plunged the Loktai into Civil War. A huge majority wanted to stay bottled up in Loktai space and avoid any contact. Perhaps the Pfohr would pass them by if they didn't present a threat. However, a small few began to fight this idea and speak out about going out to the other races. Mysteriously, a number of these proponents often simply disappeared. Many speculated that they stole military craft or used personal vehicles rigged with illegal space-warp engines to leave Loktai behind and go out into the galaxy. Alados would soon find out the truth.

The Truth:While on a routine orbital patrol, Alados accidentally tuned into a transmission between the Consival and the central command base for the Loktai navy. While his first instinct was to quickly shut off something not meant for him, the first words held him captivated. "Eliminations proceeding on schedule." With these words, Alados stopped to listen to the conversation that would follow. He learned of the true nature of the proponents' disappearances -- the Consival was quietly and illegally eliminating them by using an elite group of Armed Forces assassins, the Shrukar. For millennia, the Consival had stood for the principles of justice and righteousness--it was believed to be beyond corruption. The fact that it was shook Alados to his very soul. Feeling compelled to act, once the transmission had ended Alados switched on his transmitter. He set it transmit across the full spectrum and announced what he had heard. Knowing he might face death for this, he quickly tried to run to one of the central space-warp gateways. To his dismay, his transmission was intercepted and blocked by the Consival's powerful communications arrays. Shortly, Alados found four carriers bearing down on him, all 80 of their robotic fighters deployed. The smaller, nimbler craft easily outmatched him.

The Stand:With little to lose, Alados flipped his Kabidaju around to face the oncoming Bov fighters. Amazingly enough, Alados managed to destroy several of them before they simply began to overwhelm him. His engines damaged and weapons depleted, Alados set a ramming course for one of the carriers. Even this would be defeated. One of the Bov fighters managed to clip his reactor. With few seconds to spare, Alados risked one, last, desperate move. Without targeting a specific location, Alados triggered the emergency space-warp engine in his cockpit. The ejectable cockpit detached from the dying fighter and transited out of regular space-time. Shortly thereafter, the fighter exploded, taking several of its robotic assailants with it.

Survival:Miraculously, Alados materialized somewhere safe. The odds were heavily against him; he could just as easily have materialized in a star or a planet. Instead, he materialized in deep space where his people were not likely to find him. Unfortunately, no one else was likely to find him either. Despite the incredible odds, however, he was picked up by a ship of the Ventu. Once aboard, he was informed that they were travelling to a world known as Reor to trade. Deciding that anywhere was better than deep space, he remained aboard for the ride.

Coronado:After instructing Coronado's crew members and working with them in using the false matter, Alados found their cause and mission to be a just and noble one. He expressed his interest in joining their ranks to Fleet Captain Lora Kor and was soon assigned as an Assistant Tactical Officer and Specialist Laison. As Assistant Tactical Officer, he would again have the chance to fight for justice and as a specialist laison, he would be able to provide valuable information about the false matter technology to Coronado's crew.

Birthplace:Trill
Age:25

Physical Characteristics:
Height/Weight:182 centimeters / 79 kilograms
Hair/Eyes:Blond / Brown
Description:Often appearing unkempt when off duty, Serrold is also the model of a well-groomed officer. Moderately tall and well-built, Serrold often uses his looks to his advantage in any number of social situations.
Notes:Serrold has no outstanding medical conditions or physical defects.

Personality Characteristics:
Marital Status:Single
Family:Father: Dr. Garret Serrold, Sr., Starfleet Medical; Mother: Dr. Arma Tinka; Brother: Dr. Garret Serrold, Jr.
Dominants:Charming, quick-witted, roguish
Notes:Often seen in the company of a beautiful woman, Serrold is the kind of man the ladies love and the men envy. He is outgoing and personable, almost to a fault. His brashness and hot temper have gotten him into trouble more times than even he can count. However, this has always been offset by his quick thinking and his decidedly unorthodox tactical strategies.
Interests:Almost always on the fly, Serrold can more often than not be found drinking in a local establishment with his fellow crewmembers or squadmates when he's off duty. If he's not womanizing and carousing in the crew lounge, the young Marine can usually be found honing his combat skills, armed and unarmed. Though virtually unheard of in this day and age, Serrold is an accomplished swordsman as well as a master marksman.

Personal History:
Family History:Born of a pair of medical doctors, Serrold is the younger of two boys produced by the first and only successful matings of a joined Trill and a human. Though surrounded by the wonders of modern medical science, young Craig always dreamed of flying in deep space, glorious combat and heroic exploits.

Early Life:His father, seeing Craig's early interest in space flight, allowed his son to attend flight classes and earn his civilian's pilot's license by age 12. By age 16, Craig Serrold held several trophies from around the Federation for piloting and racing.

At the Academy:After years of showing a natural talent for flying, Serrold joined the Academy and made the prestigious Red Squad Elite Force Team. By his senior year, he had made Captain of the Team. Two years in a row, Serrold managed to win the Academy Pentathlon, making him the first cadet ever to do so.

Starfleet:Upon graduation, Serrold was sent to the Starfleet Marine Corps' Officer Candidates School for his SFMC training. Following OCS, the Basic School, and Combat Flight Officer Training, Serrold received his first posting - a flight test pilot aboard the experimental testbed starship Vanguard.

Dominants:Friendly, confident, knowledgable

Interests:Science, and ancient Earth history/anthropology. The first half of the 20th century has proven most interesting for him.

Personal History:
Family history:Thompson is from a family with a proud Starfleet history. His late grandfather, Captain Alvin Thompson, was the Commanding Officer of U.S.S. Melbourne at Wolf 359. His mother was the Captain of U.S.S. Norway when it narrowly escaped destruction when the Borg Cube attacked earth in 50893.5. These two major incidences in Thompson's upbringing fostered his feelings toward the Borg. Thompson entered Starfleet Academy at the advice of his parents, Ambassador Greg Thompson and Captain Amy Thompson. His elder-brother is currently a junior lieutenant on U.S.S. Phoenix. Thompson has a semi-muscular physique but did not score highly in the tactical and athletic training courses at Starfleet Academy. This poor performance, combined with a natural love for healing, science, and medicine, convinced him to apply to Starfleet Medical. His parents, though, came through the ranks as Starfleet Engineers but they supported the decision.
