Officers Departed from U.S.S. Coronado in 2376:

New Orleans class frigate Historical Note: The sims referenced below took place aboard a very different U.S.S. Coronado. Coronado during these sims was a New Orleans class frigate, registry NCC-63100, under the command of Captain Brian Aldur. The sims take place during a span roughly from 2375 to 2377, and end just after the final days of the Dominion War, as depicted on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. During this time, Coronado was a member sim of first FSG, and then a small sim group called Liberty Online. There are no sim reports for any of these sims. When Coro moved to UCIP, the plot of the sim jumped approximately 25 years and the simmers developed new characters to accomodate the time change.

Of course, many plotlines from the "old Coro" still affect the "new Coro." In particular, 25 years later, Brian Aldur is still very much alive and is a Vice Admiral. Many of the other older characters have also moved on to new carrers that touch the new ship. In addition, several storylines, technologies, and races are intertwined with the destinies of both ships...

Past Officer

Name:
Fleet Captain Brian Jeremiah Aldur

Defender of Coronado

U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-63100 Officer
Brian Aldur
Post:Former Commanding Officer
U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-63100
Species:Human Male
Birthplace:Diaspora Colony, Titan, Sol System
Age:36 (in 2376)

Physical Characteristics:
Height/Weight:177 centimeters / 76 kilograms
Hair/Eyes:Black / Grey
Description:Physically, Aldur is of average height, with a lithe muscular build. His facial features are sharp and unrevealing (a friend once described Aldur as having "the perfect poker face" to which Aldur replied, "I don't play poker."). He has been known to go bearded from time to time, but is not currently so. He keeps his hair short and neatly trimmed. Aldur is descended from the Diasporan stock of the early space pioneers of Spain's Andalusian region. As such, his skin tone makes him look as if he always has a tan.
Notes:The early space pioneers and colonists of Earth's Diasporan Era (circa 2000-2075 old date) fled the chaos of Earth's Eugenics Wars and Post-Atomic Horror to colonize Mars, Titan, and Mimas. Because of the fragile nature of their early spacecraft, and the unsufficient radiation shielding they carried, Diasporan descendants often display subtle genetic variations from human stock. Odd hair and eye colors are common, as are very subtle psionic abilities. Aldur has on several occasions demonstrated an uncanny intuition of unseen dangers to himself, his team, or his vessel that may reflect a borderline psionic ability.

Personality Characteristics:
Family:Father: SF LCdr. Terrence Aldur (deceased, Wolf 359); Mother: Beth Wallace Aldur; Brother: Cmdr. Jason Aldur, U.S.S. Gryphon; Sister: Dr. Theresa Aldur, Daystrom Institute
Dominants:Cunning, efficient, close-mouthed
Notes:Like many of the residents of Earth's early colonies, Brian Aldur is stable and reliable, but tends to keep his own counsel, or even be somewhat introverted. He nurtures very few friendships, but those people that he lets into his life will be long-term friends. This is not necessarily aloofness, but simply the tendency of these colonists to pick a very few close friends that they can trust with their lives. In an earlier age, Aldur would also have been described as "patriotic." He loves the Federation and what it stands for, and joined Starfleet to defend it.
Interests:Aldur is a third degree blackbelt in Kenpo Karate and a Master at Aikido. He can often be found in the ship's gymnasium, teaching or learning martial arts. He is currently attempting to learn the Klingon mok'bara form.

They are therefore recognized with the Starfleet Silver Star for Valor with Special Operations cluster."

Past Officer

Name:
Commander Todd Marshall

Defender of Coronado

U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-63100 Officer
Todd Marshall
Post:Former Chief Tactical Officer
U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-63100
Species:Human Male
Birthplace:Earth
Age:25 (in 2376)

Physical characteristics:
Height/Weight:192 centimeters / 86 kilograms
Hair/Eyes:Brown / Brown
Description:Marshall is fairly built, with broad shoulders and a wide torso. He always has a gleam in his eyes which makes him seem like he's always on top of things and likes the way things are going, despite whatever the circumstances may be. He's fairly muscular, and is good in close combat situations, but his brawling style of fighting leaves some finesse to be desired.
Personality characteristics:
Dominants:Cocky, proud, outgoing
Summary:Marshall is quite possibly the most loose Starfleet officer you will ever meet. He rarely keeps his mouth shut, and seems to have a problem following orders without mentioning how well he's performed them. Most of this stems from his feeling of invincibility and the fact he thinks he's the best pilot ever to grace the service.

He's extremely cocky when at the helm or in the cockpit. He'll perform outrageous manoeuvers that would make any other pilot's stomach churn and drive the instructors at the academy insane from deviation from the norm, while he whoops with pleasure and glee. He seems to have a feel for all the space around him and is excellent at moving through that space, at any speed with any amount of obstacles.

Marshall is proud of his flying achievements, despite the fact that they're a little off beat. He'll go about his business with the feeling that what he's doing is the best possible job and that nobody can do it better, and he lets others know it. He does however take his job seriously and doesn't leave things outstanding.

He always shares his opinion, even when it might not be wanted. He can't help but bud into conversations to deliver his view. Despite this, his positive outlook on most situations can sprucen up a dark moment and boost the morale of those around him.
Interests:Flying, phaser practice, flying, working out, and more flying.

Starfleet Experience:
2368:Entered Starfleet Academy 1 year early using forged birth documents. This was later discovered, but dismissed due to good performance.
2369:Breaks the score in the Yeager flight scenario by 340 points.
2370:Breaks his own record in the Yeager flight scenario by a further 123 points.
2371:Graduates from Starfleet Academy, 1st in piloting and navigation, 15th in class overall, placed in the 3rd fighter wing attached to the 4th fleet, flying Peregrine D class fighters. Racks up 45 kills in 6 months during various operations.
2372:Transferred to the Black Angels, one of the most distinguished fighter wings in the fleet. Racks up a further 56 kills, bringing his total to 101 kills. Awarded the Silver star for heroic actions and performance.
2373:Wounded in action during a battle with Dominion forces. Destruction of craft is a result of outperforming squadmates and becoming separated. Starfleet decides he is better off piloting a starship, transferred to the U.S.S. Coronado while still recouperating from injuries.
2374:Returns to active flight status on board U.S.S. Coronado. Promoted to Lieutenant. Later promoted to Lt. Commander and decorated (Conspicuous Gallantry).
2375:Awarded Silver Star for Valor while participating in Starfleet Special Operations mission.

Past Officer

Name:
Commander Sandra Nouveau

Defender of Coronado

U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-63100 Officer
Sandra Nouveau
Post:Former Chief Engineer
U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-63100
Species:Human Female
Birthplace:Alderaan
Age:19 (in 2376)

Physical characteristics:
Height/Weight:160 centimeters / 49 kilograms
Hair/Eyes:Brown / Blue
Description:Not strikingly beautiful. Sandra has tone muscles due to frequent exercise. She has scars on her hands, arms, and legs from various battles she has been in. Frequently, her face looks more adult-like then it should.

Personality characteristics:
Dominants:Quiet, Intelligent, Insecure
Family:Her biological parents were killed by the Empire when she was 3; her father is believed to have been a Jedi Knight. Her adoptive parents were also killed by the Empire when Sandra was 6; her adoptive father is believed to have been a senator who was involved with the rebellion. All of the names are unknown. Sandra has had no other family.
Notes:Sandra has a deep hate of those who hold innocent people against their will; this hate seems to have stemmed from being forced to work for the Empire. She also hates the Empire, most likely due to all her family she ever knew having at one time or another been killed by it. She has yet to tell anyone what exactly she remembers from her life. Sandra seems to have absolutely no force present in her, which has led one of her only friends, Luke Skywalker to believe she may have unconsciously hid her talent to keep Darth Vader and the Emperor from taking any more interest in her mind. She has a hard time socializing with people in her own age group, probably due to growing up with only adults around her.

Experience:
Summary:Sandra has a very sketchy history; no one but her is exactly sure what has happened to her. After her adoptive parents were killed it is believed she was placed in a highly Empire - monitored school, where her quick mind made extremely good progress, attracting Empire attention. At age 13, she was taken from the school and forced to work for the Empire. She is believed to have worked on the Death Star plans during her 3 years of enforced work time. She managed to escape and join the rebel alliance at age 17. She never said why she joined the rebellion, but the destruction of Alderann may have had something to do with it. In the rebellion her technical knowledge of the Empire was put to use by teaching rebel pilots the technical aspects of the Empire's ships. Because of her life mainly taking place in or around battles she has piloting and engineering knowledge and experience.

Past Officer

Name:
Ensign Jennifer "Mouse" Wildman

Defender of Coronado

U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-63100 Officer
Mouse
Post:Former Assistant Science Officer
U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-63100
Species:Corellian Female
Birthplace:Unknown
Age:20 (in 2376)

Physical characteristics:
Height/Weight:141 centimeters / 64 kilograms
Hair/Eyes:Brown / Blue
Description:Mouse was once a very beautiful, very radiant young girl; her traumatic live has changed all of that. She still carries a bit of hidden charm and grace, but it's hidden behind the weight of the years. Her face is most often unemotional, with thick and straight eyebrows over wide and expressive, but normally blank, eyes. Her nose is small and slightly turned up, quite cherubin and one of her cutest features -- not that she notices. Her mouth is a fairly regular size but has full, but pale lips.

Her body is very clearly a lesson in what malnutrition and violence does to a person. She is overly thin, almost uncomfortably so; she is built like a sprinter with large leg muscles and a smaller upper body. Her body is dotted with several scars (see the Physical Notes) and injuries. In all, her body has retained a very immature state -- she is infertile due to lack of proper food and exposure to radiation; her bones are weak and not well developed; her face is childlike with thick cheeks, large eyes, and a small nose. In summary Mouse is a classic example of the moderate starvation and extreme violence found in a city slum.
Notes:Physical: Sufficient. Mouse is by no means strong, but she is capable of impressive feats with enough adrenaline running through her veins. She has a particularily weak immune system, making her prone to colds and sickness. Mouse has several unusual injuries and other afflictions due to her rough life. Several portions of her intestines, stomach, liver, and other internal organs are artificial due to a severe injury, the same injury destroyed her reproductive system and rendered her sterile. In addition to this, Mouse has a moderately damaged pleura (lung sac) and thorax due to another injury where she was impaled by an iron girder. She has burn marks along her feet, legs, and one bicep. She also has a weak respiratory system due to the fact that she breathes tainted air with alarming regularity. In other words, pretty darn messed up.

Personality characteristics:
Dominants:Passive, Strenuous worker, Quiet
Notes:Mouse is comfortable only when she is with people whom she trusts, and even then she is reclusive. Those who do not know her well have given her the nickname 'Mouse' because of this trait. Mouses' personality at any given moment can be divided into one of four types. These are very distinct and seperate traits, betraying a deep-run instability in her personality.

The first character, that of Mouse, is the one that is most often encountered. Severely unemotional, blunt, but with a suprisingly shy, tender and gentle attitude, this personality is her buffer against the rest of the world. She appears uncaring, and would be so, if it were not for the second character coming through occasionally.

Mouse This second character is that of the original Jennifer Wildman. This is the woman that Mouse would have grown up to be had she been given the chance. Cheerful, bright, and a delightfully happy girl, with a love of jokes and good natured fun. The remnants of this personality that carry on into her current life are an unbending moral excellence, which pushes her to better herself and try to do as much good in the world as she can; and also her hard-working nature. Mouse will work until she drops if need be.

The third character is the Jennifer Wildman that results from her lifetime of terrible experiences, the Adult Jennifer Wildman. This is a woman lost to despair and tormented by her past. She cries often, and is always gripped by some inexhorable melancholy that she cannot shake. This personality disables Mouse with self-pity, her thoughts often wander to her horrendous past, forcing herself into exile to free her companions of her bad luck, suicide, or worse. Believing herself friendless, homeless, and without a tie to keep her anywhere, she has no reason to live.

The fourth and last character is that of a Furious Mouse. This personality and the third often switch places, as they are complimentary. She will switch from a furious rage to immobilizing despair, back to rage in a matter of moments. This personality is completely blinded by rage against her opressors. Even if she is surrounded by friends, she will see none of them as such. The things that she rages against are in her memory and imagination; since Mouse cannot lash out at them she strikes out at whoever is close at hand. This is a condition in which Mouse is the most dangerous. She has been known on occasion to kill while in these rages, and since she cannot properly judge between friend or foe she could awaken from her stupor and immediately regret her actions, or worse. These parts of her moods are feared by her friends and hated by herself.

Mouse is NOT victim to Multiple Personality disorder! She has very distinct moods, and changes between them with violent speed. These are just useable markers for them. She teeters on the edge of a multiple personality disorder or similar, but for now she remains coherent. It is all but in the fourth mood that a common theme of morality and goodness do not shine through.
Interests:No time for interests.

Past Officer

Name:
Major Dev Wallace

Defender of Coronado

U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-63100 Officer
Dev Wallace
Post:Former Marine Commandant
U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-63100
Species:Human Male
Birthplace:Unknown
Age:25 (in 2376)

Physical characteristics:
Height/Weight:180 centimeters / 100 kilograms
Hair/Eyes:Brown / Blue
Description:Though of decent height and weight and quite muscular, Wallace is not what many consider "attractive" or "good-looking." Rather, he is rough, with a hint of fear and a touch of sadness in his face. He keeps his short brown hair in an old military-style cut, short and very sharp-looking. He has a scar across the left side of his face, clean across his left eye, running from his temple to his chin. His clear, blue eyes are piercing and constantly moving, always gathering information about his surroundings.
Notes:Wallace could have the scar removed, but he chooses to keep it as a reminder of his past failure (see below).

Personality characteristics:
Family:Father - David Wallace, Civilian Design Specialist for Starfleet R&D; Mother - Julie Wallace, Child Behavior Psychologist; Sister - Bethany Wallace, 1st Year Cadet at Starfleet Academy, Earth; Brother - Jacob Wallace, Computer Systems Design Engineer, Starfleet R&D; Brother - Darian Wallace, Starfleet Security - Enterprise-D (DECEASED - killed in action near Veridian III), Wife - Ens. Ashley Forrester Wallace, ret. (MISSING, PRESUMED DEAD), leader of a Maquis resistance cell in the Badlands.
Dominants:Withdrawn, joyless, dutiful
Notes:Sullen and somber, yet possessing a restrained youthful spirit awaiting release. Ensign Wallace holds himself responsible for the death of his previous ship's Executive Officer due to confusion on the bridge during a Dominion attack. The noise and smoke and damage resulted in Wallace accidentally allowing shields to fall just as the Jem'Hadar shps fired. He sustained a serious injury to his face, but the real damage was to his psyche. The first officer used his own body to protect Wallace from an explosion and died as a consequence. To this day, Wallace is convinced that had he been more vigilant, such an accident would never have occurred.

Addendum: It was recently learned that Wallace is a member of the branch of Starfleet Intelligence known as Section 31; and that, as a member of Section 31, while still a cadet at the Academy, Wallace was a part of a team sent to eliminate several Maquis resistance cells, one of which had chosen his wife as leader.

Duty bound, Wallace followed the orders which brought about the appearant death of the traitor Ashley Forrester Wallace and her cohorts. Still feeling the guilt over her death and the tragedy on the Centaur, Wallace has attempted to take his own life on more than one occassion.

He would be removed from active duty save for the fact that he sees duty as his only option in life, making him that much more dedicated an agent for the Section. He always gets results from his assignments, despite some neurological problems.
Interests:Wallace chooses to do little with his spare time other than to improve himself as an officer and a tactician. His brilliant mind enjoys reading battle reports form the war and planning new strategies for combat on the holodecks. Wallace has recently been known to spend his off-duty time with several of his crewmates, drinking real alcohol.
Starfleet Experience:
2370:Accepted by Staefleet Academy; enrolled in Starfleet Academy Security Oficers' Program; meets and begins to court Cadet A. Forrester.
2371:Propositioned by Section 31; accepts appointment as Section 31 Cadet Operative.
2372:Proposes to Cadet A. Forrester; learns of loss of U.S.S. Enterprise, NCC-1701-D and death of brother Lt. D. Wallace at Veridian III; investigates Enterprise crash and learns of an implanted device in the VISOR of LtCmdr. G. LaForge which transmitted to the Klingon Bird-of-Prey commanded by Lursa and B'Tor, House of Duras.
2373:Married to Cadet A. Forrester who later embarks on cadet cruise to Bajor; assigned to Section 31 taskforce to eliminate Maquis cells in the Badlands; learns that he was responsible for his wife's appearant death; returns to Earth for classes and psychological counselling.
2374:Graduates Magnum Cum Laude from Starfleet Academy; assigned to Tactical staff of U.S.S. Centaur, NCC-72089; following a crippling battle, assigned to Starbasse 79 for medical and psychological attention; assigned to Tactical staff, U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-61300.
2375:Transferred to U.S.S. Thunderchild, NCC-52001; later returns to U.S.S. Coronado following temporal displacement; temporarily reassigned to U.S.S. Endeavour, NCC-1805.

Past Officer

Name:
Lieutenant Dryden Milar Tollory

Defender of Coronado

U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-63100 Officer
No picture available
Post:Former Assistant Medical Officer
U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-63100
Birthplace:Djaklis Prime, Gamma Quadrant
Species:Djaklian Male
Age:29 (in 2376)

Physical characteristics:
Height/Weight:179 centimeters / 84 kilograms
Hair/Eyes:Black / Blue
Description:Dryden is in good physical shape. While he has good natural muscle tone, he is completely inept as to how to use his strength in offensive ways. Much of his good health is as a result of simple good luck in the genetics department. His hair is short and dark black, contrasting with the soft blue of his eyes. He smiles often and easily, and has a kind look that sets many at ease. While his muscle tone belies his pacifistic nature, his body language and jawline give the correct impression of a man who is slow to anger. His skin tone is one of a natural tan, and people often believe him to be from the Central or South American regions on Earth.

He bears a scar on his chest given to him at the hands of a Jem’Hadar warrior on the orders of a particularly sadistic Vorta who oversaw the Dominion business on Djaklis. For some reason, he’s never seen fit to have it removed.

Djaklians appear quite similar to humans, but their pigmentation is a bit darker over all. Their immune systems are excellent by human standards, and they have an organ near the stomach called the adral, which performs the same function as the liver, kidneys, and gall bladder, although Djaklians still have these organs in place as well. Djaklians use a bit more of their brain area than humans do. Aside than that, their physiology is relatively unremarkable. Djaklians have no facial hair other than eyebrows.

Personality characteristics:
Marital Status:Separated
Family:Father, Sir Dalton Flinn Tollory, 47. Mother, Lady Evangeline Obris Tollory, 44. Older brother, Sir Kyndreth Tollory (deceased), Younger brother, Sir Aden Dower Tollory, 20. Wife, Brianna Tollory, 27.
Dominants:Peaceful, kind, stable
Notes:Dryden is intensely interested in the medical sciences. He trained briefly as a counselor before deciding to focus his efforts on physical medicine, but psychological ailments are still a pet interest of his. Dryden hates to see illness or pain of any kind in anyone. He holds his Hippocratic Oath to be a paramount one, and will resist all efforts to have him break it. Dryden clashed with his former commanding officer on more than one occasion over it, although by any standards a verbal disagreement with a Djaklian is not a traumatic event.

Dryden enjoys a good joke, and is one of those people that will try to diffuse a tense situation or get between two people ready to fight. He is willing to try anything almost once. Hatred and revenge are completely alien concepts to Dryden, but he does work to stop himself from hating the Dominion with a vengeance for what they did to his homeworld and his own family. His acceptance of everyone and willingness to afford each and every person the benefit of the doubt is often seen as naïveté and can get Dryden into trouble. He is still learning some of the subtler nuances of the English language, and sometimes takes idioms too literally. He also tends to internalize criticism a bit too much.
Interests:Dryden has found many sports to be relaxing, especially snorkeling and diving, in which he excelled on his home world. He plays the recorder and can sing in a pinch. Other interests include cooking, chess (though he’s rusty), stellar cartography, and studying other cultures.

Starfleet Experience:
Feb 2346:Born on Djaklis Prime in the Gamma Quadrant.
Feb 2357:Began early studying under his mother, a doctor, in the medical sciences.
Mar 2358:The uprising against the Dominion begins en force.
Jan 2359:Dryden’s older brother Kyndreth is killed.
2360:Rejected attempts by his father to have him become a paladin and follow in his father’s footsteps.
Jul 2364:Djaklis-2 is attacked by the Dominion, and contaminated with the Fallow.
Aug 2364:Djaklis yet again surrenders to the Dominion.
Feb 2365:Dryden enters into formal training as a doctor on Djaklis.
Oct 2365:Dryden is married to the lady Brianna, more a marriage of convenience and political gain than anything else.
Mar 2369:Dryden sees something he shouldn’t have about the Founders and their future plans for the Gamma and Alpha Quadrants. He realizes this, and when it is discovered he knows this, he is attacked. His father and mother arrange for his speedy departure from the Djaklian system and through the Bajoran wormhole. His escape is not uneventful, but it does succeed in the end.
Apr 2370:Dryden enters Starfleet Academy after meeting an admiral and giving him information about the Gamma Quadrant. The Dominion is not yet a known entity to Starfleet, but Dryden shares information about this as well. The admiral labels Dryden an alarmist and the information about the Dominion is filed away and forgotten, although the rest of the information on the Gamma Quadrant proves useful.
Apr 2373:After completing many courses and receiving some credit for his prior training, Dryden graduates from Starfleet Academy. Dryden is assigned to the U.S.S. Intrepid.
Jan 2375:Dryden is reassigned to the U.S.S. Coronado thanks to the cruel humor of an admiral who dislikes the young Djaklian’s pacifistic nature.
Jul 2375:Awarded Silver Star for Valor while participating in Starfleet Special Operations mission.

Djaklian Cultural Notes:
Summary:Djaklians have a focused mind. No empathic or telepathic abilities, except in a rare 0.052% of the populace. Dryden is not among this fraction. Focus provides certain other fringe benefits, of which Dryden enjoys near-perfect accuracy and heightened sensory perception.

Djaklians’ mental focus provides empaths with a strikingly crystal-clear vision of what they are thinking. The focus is strong enough that the Djaklian could focus upon a banana and the empath will receive little information other than the fact that the Djaklian in question is intently focused upon said banana. In other words, it would be difficult to discern if he/she had just lied, was homicidal or suicidal, and so on. This strong focus also helps Djaklians deal with intensely stressful situations.

Djaklians are pacifistic by nature, and very few Djaklians ever take up arms in combat; the ones that do are given to a vision by the god Paldin-Tor, and are named paladins, much akin to the paladins of the medieval ages on Earth. Djaklians are polytheistic, with their pantheon consisting of fifteen gods.

Djaklians rarely lie because it is seen as a sub-Djaklian thing to do. Suicide and murder are considered abhorrent crimes upon Djaklis, with murderers and those failing to suicide often undergoing a lifetime of therapy to attempt to fix these aberrations. Djaklians often take time to meditate to regain their mental balance, and function at less than peak efficiency when they do not regain this balance periodically.

Djaklians were not always mentally focused. In 2109, the Dominion found them to be intolerably unenlightened, and found little use for them. Over the course of the next century, Djaklians began to focus on achieving the mental focus they have today. With these changes, Djaklis became a leader in scientific and medical innovations. In 2245, the Dominion attempted to annex Djaklis, and after a brutal four-year war in which almost 17% of the Djaklian populace were killed, Djaklis surrendered. The Founders targeted Djaklis as a center for Dominion science and medical business. After one hundred ten years of this tyranny, the Djaklians again rebelled, and paid dearly for it. Many were killed, and Djaklis-2 was rendered barren by a strange biochemical weapon called The Fallow, which rendered the entire planet a mass of infertile soil whose atmosphere consisted entirely of a sickly yellow gas that was unbreathable. Nearly all paladins on the planet were killed, and many civilians were as well. All who were neither doctors nor scientists were considered expendable.

The Djaklian system always lay on the edges of Dominion territory, and it was only the scientific advances that Djaklis offered that kept the Dominion’s interest.

Djaklians enjoy hearty feasts and bacchanalias, taking care not to drink to the point of inebriation because their tolerance level for alcohol is low. There are seven holidays on the Djaklian homeworld devoted to the celebration of various foods alone. As a result, there are more than a few Djaklian sayings about foods in general.

Notes:Dauber was a mother of two in her old universe, with a rather adopted daughter, Jennifer Wildman. But then an accident occurred, and Dauber was shunted into the local dimension. Dauber’s own favorite term for the moving is "artificial death," because she is probably considered deceased by her family. No matter where she operates, her speed and accuracy are unrivaled. She was legendary at Starfleet Medical as being the only new graduate able to complete a fully successful heart transplant in under four minutes. She is constantly driving herself to be the best she can be. On her former Coronado, this was a necessity. If they weren’t under attack, Dauber would probably either be talking with her son and ‘daughter’ or giving check-ups to the crew. But she rarely ever sleeps. She never has needed it, and no matter how long she’s awake, she still looks and acts the same as any well-rested doctor. It is said that she usually operates better if she’s been up for over a week. Again, on her former vessel, she was needed quite often, and sleep was a luxury she couldn’t always afford. But it all worked out. (One of the causes for Dr. Browning’s death in 2371 was ‘fatigue.’)
