Historical Note: The sims referenced below took place aboard a very
different U.S.S. Coronado. Coronado during these sims was a New Orleans class frigate,
registry NCC-63100, under the command of Captain Brian Aldur. The sims take place during a span
roughly from 2375 to 2377, and end just after the final days of the Dominion War, as depicted on
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. During this time, Coronado was a member sim of first FSG,
and then a small sim group called Liberty Online. There are no sim reports for any of these sims.
When Coro moved to UCIP, the plot of the sim jumped approximately 25 years and the simmers
developed new characters to accomodate the time change.
Of course, many plotlines from the "old Coro" still affect the "new Coro." In particular,
25 years later, Brian Aldur is still very much alive and is a Vice Admiral. Many of the other older
characters have also moved on to new carrers that touch the new ship. In addition, several
storylines, technologies, and races are intertwined with the destinies of both ships...

| Name: | Commander Monique Lehman |

|
 |
| Post: | Former Chief Flight Controller U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-63100 |
| Species: | ½ Human / ½ Betazoid Female |
| Birthplace: | Betazed |
| Age: | 30 (in 2376) |
|
| Physical Characteristics: |
| Height/Weight: | 161 centimeters / 52 kilograms |
| Hair/Eyes: | Sandy Blonde / Blue |
| Description: | Small bone structure with dark complexion and high cheekbones. Has crystal blue eyes and long naturally wavy blonde hair that she keeps pulled back when on duty. |
|
| Personality characteristics: |
| Summary: | Monique is a very kind person who loves adventure. She has a few close friends and they know things that no one else will ever find out about her and she would do anything for these few people including die for them if necessary. She is a very dedicated person to her crew and to Starfleet. She is not great with hand to hand combat or using phasers but she has had some basic training in both. |
| Family history: | Monique's father is now retired from Starfleet and he and her mother are living back on Betazed. Monique talks with her parents as much as possible and sends letters to them often. As a Betazoid, Monique is like her mother as far as she can read any mind except Ferengi, Breen, or Doptherian minds which is possible a result of the anomalous four-lobed construction of their brains. She enjoys sitting and watching others and practicing her telepathic skills without anyone finding out what she is doing. Monique is a very complicated person to get to understand and keeps things to herself like her father. |
| Notes: | Monique is a very kind, caring person who quietly obeys all orders given to her by her commanding officers. She is always the first one to volunteer to help when someone is in trouble. Monique loves to be with others but doesn't always know how to get involved with the group. She is somewhat shy and keeps things about herself hidden from others. |
| Interests: | Reading, music, working out in the weight room, and playing in the holodeck room with simulated ship battles and ship racing. |
|
| Background Summary: |
| Summary: | Monique Lehman was born to General John Lehman and Dianna Lehman on the planet of Betazed. Andrea is an only child and grew up alone and so she has trouble knowing how to get into group activities. He father was a Terran liaison officer for Starfleet and was stationed on Betazed where he meet and married her mother.
When Monique was around 10 years old, her father got transferred back to Earth and she lived in San Francisco growing up with Terran children. During her adolescent years Monique's telepathic abilities started developing and she had trouble fitting in with the other children because they would call her a freak, so she started keeping the ability a secret. She has fought to keep it a secret for so long now that not even Starfleet knows the truth about her, at least she doesn't think they know. She is exceptionally gifted in telepathy being able to put on a conversation with her mind only even to someone who is not telepathic like her.
Monique went to Starfleet Academy at age 17 and did quite well because she used her telepathic skills to gain extra knowledge from the instructors without them knowing she was reading their minds. She loved flying and so majored in being a conn officer. Monique is an exceptional pilot and can fly just about anything given a little time to study the controls.
After graduating Starfleet Academy, Monique was given control over a commercial starship and flew people back and forth from Earth to DS12 and other space stations around the galaxy. But after several years, Monique wanted adventure and excitement and so asked for a transfer to a starship. Starfleet granted the request and she was assigned to the U.S.S. Coronado as the Assistant Helm Officer, under the command of Captain Brain Aldur. |

| Name: |
Commander Lan DuLac |

 |
 |
| Post: | Former Chief Science Officer U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-63100 |
| Species: | Camelynian Male |
| Birthplace: | Avignon, Camelyn |
| Age: | 31 (in 2376) |
|
| Physical characteristics: |
| Height/Weight: | 192 centimeters / 93 kilograms |
| Hair/Eyes: | Blonde / Hazel |
| Description: | DuLac is tall, muscular, and wears his hair short and neatly trimmed. He moves with the easy grace of someone used to wearing armor. The picture is a pen-and-ink drawing of him done by one of the Coronado's more artistic crewmen for the Conquistador newsletter. |
| Notes: | Off duty, he is prone to wearing a talberd, or at times full noble regalia, with his coat of arms. |
|
| Personality characteristics: |
| Dominants: | Chivalrous, intelligent, adventurous |
| Notes: | DuLac is very forceful personality. His anger is powerful, his laughter contagious. He defends his friends honor as quick as his own. He tends to look upon the Captain and XO, due to their relationship as quite similar to a Camelyn command. In his mind, he equates them as "Lord and Lady" and is willing to serve them, defend them, and obey them in all manners. In fact, the courtesy he renders to those he considers his better makes many think he is obsequious, or seeking praise. Lan is just reacting as he think he should to those who are greater than him, a common Camelynite social practice. |
| Interests: | His hobbies include Hawking, and the common pursuits of nobility; composing epic prose, jousting, and so on. His personal gear includes his Knightly armor, sword, power lance, and Cyber Gryphon, a semi-organic mount, capable of flying or running on the ground, the preferred steed on a Knight on quest. |
|
| Starfleet Experience: |
| Summary: | His decision to join Starfleet and to Quest among the Stars was a suprise, due to the lack of interaction with the Federation. Lan hoped to spread understanding, and find adventure, the engineered desire to seek knew knowledge being strong within him. He was admitted with the understanding that his titles and honors would not give him special treatment, or high rank. Many Camelynites found this insulting, but Lan has never said a word about it. He is a good science officer, his curious inquisitive nature being a boon to this position. Combined with his genetically engineered features, such as total recall and intuitive understanding, he often astounds those who consider him a backwards feudal lord.
He has yet to adjust to all Federation customs, and tends to be hurt deeply by insults. He often takes more than he should, as he has been told repeatedly that the common custom of an Honor Duel is frowned upon in Starfleet. He also is a hopeless romantic, and like most nobles his age seeks a tragic relationship to lament about, just to fit in. He is a good listener, and despite his archaic ways, his training in leadership and resolving conflicts can make him a surpassingly good advisor. And due to his background, he is battle keen, ferocious in combat, firmly convinced that righteous causes shall always triumph, and seeing death in pursuit of good as nothing to fear. He despises Klingons as twisting the concept of honor to a meaningless state. And as a Camelyn noble, he will do anything he can to challenge any Gorn he sees to duel to the death, only barely remembering Federation law. Still, Camelyn has accepted its role in the Federtion, yet at the same time refuses to compromise on its cultural cornerstones. In fact, the planet has began to view itself as the "Knight Protector" of the Federation, with individual Cyber-Knights, or even entire Grail Fleets taking to the stars to protect Federation interests. Relations would be more strained if it wasn't simply for the fact that Camelyn is a progressive society, free of poverty, hunger, and nearly crime free. Its government seems archaic, but is universally supported by the populace. Federation citizens who visit the Fairy-Tale land of Camelyn are confused, intrigued, and often startled, but rarely find themselves disliking it. The simple virtues of honor, decency, and chivalry seem to win most visitors over. |
|
| Camelyn Cultural Notes: |
| Summary: | DuLac is from Camelyn, a world that, although long an associate member of the Federation, has had little outside dealings with it at large.
Camelyn is unique as it is the only Federation world to be ruled by a hereditary nobility. Only after shocked observers realized this was the preferred state of affairs by over 98% of the population was the planet admitted.
Camelyn developed similar to Earth, except at one critical juncture. During its middle ages, the Nobility of Camelyn became enamored of a new movement: rationalism. The nobility began to realize that the religious authorities of Camelyn were not only taking too much power, but were trying to keep the population uninformed, ignorant, and easy to manipulate. A power struggle developed, with the new and arising middle class being recruited by the religious authorities to fight against the nobles. To counter, the nobles turned to their serfs, and freed them, and began to elevate their status. This secured their loyalty, and soon a civil war erupted. The wealth of the Church and the middle class had enabled them to field a enormous army. However, the serfs, armed with new innovative weapons supplied by the nobility, and along with the far superior leadership of the young nobles, led to victory for their forces. At this point Camelyn diverged completely from earth history. The industrial revolution came later, but when it did, it was funded and controlled by Camelyn. The middle class and Serf class eventually merged, however the bonds of loyalty and principles of government led Camelyn to avoid the worst abuses of the industrial revolution. The monarchy eventually became a partly constitutional monarchy, as a common assembly was allowed. Still, the powers of high justice, the military, and the judiciary remained in the hands of nobles, born and trained to serve their people. Those found to abuse their power were often challenged to duels by the King's Justicars, knights sworn to uphold the ideals of good. Camelyn continued to evolve, shedding itself of bigotry, discrimination, yet clinging to a quasi-feudal system of government. Freed of the limiting vision of religion, the Camelyn technology boom, long delayed, struck with vengeance. The planet grew by leaps and bounds, and the The Kingdom of Camelyn soon conquered its system. To further insure that their nobility would be fit to lead, genetic engineering was introduced. This was shortly before the Gorn wars, when the Camelyn system and the Gorn empire stumbled into war. The war was savage, and on a scale that Starfleet has never quite understood. Camelyn itself was devastated by Gorn weapons, before the war ended in bloody stalemate. To this day, Camelyn still maintains a state of war against Gorn ships, and wandering Camelynites have often been jailed for declaring honor duels against Gorn they happen to encounter.
Camelyn was so devastated, that the planet and the population began to perish. The nobility began its most desperate effort ever. First they began genetic engineering to soften the effects of radiation, germ warfare, and viruses used by the Gorn. Then, they began to terraform their own planet. The engineering had incredible effects, especially among the nobility, who received the most modifications. Disease was wiped out, and Camelynites are among the most disease-resistant lifeforms to be found. And the engineers used particular values in their selection. Nobles tend to be strong, powerful individuals, quick of mind, handsome of face, and engineered to have a curious, inquisitive, questing nature. Along with powerful psychological molding from birth, Camelyn nobles are trained to serve the common good, defend the innocent, and to rule with fairness, justice, and honor. Personal honor is the foundation of a Camelynites being.
The efforts to save the planet went slowly, and staved off the worst effects. Still, the planets ecosystem weakened, and began to collapse. Exhausted by war, the Camelyn rulers sent out ships to quest for something to save their civilization. These early Grail quest ships encountered the Federation, which itself had recently dealt with the Gorn. The Federation found Camelyn to be a fascinating civilization, but disturbed by its government. Yet the Quest Ships did have a rudimentary warp drive, and in all other respects were suitable for admission. Still, the debate went on for years, but aid was given in allowing the Camelynites to terraform their own world. That they did astounded the Federation. They did not just restore the world, but turned it into a medieval fairy tale. The world became a visage of beauty, fair hills, stunning forests, wide seas, and was populated by pseudo dragons, wood dryads, and other figures of Camelyn myth. The Federation realized with shock that the Camelynites had been proceeding with widescale genetic engineering of its own planet and people. Eventual demands and expressions of concern led to an end of this policy, but by then the nobility and a good deal of the common population had been affected. Camelyn was finally admitted, as the strong sense of honor and chivalry clearly marked them as a stable, positive culture.
Camelynites are still looked at strangely. They speak in a courtly fashion, and tend to dress in pseudo-chivalric fashion. Their military is divided into Cyber-Knights (cybernetically enhanced common troops), Science Knights (the commanders, heroes, and technicians), Shadow Knights (the unspoken branch of the military), and the "Men At Arms" (the support, common infantry and so on, composed of non-nobility). Lan DuLac is a Science Knight, being the first son of one of Camlelyns leading families. |

His confidence as an officer is unwavering, proven in his own mind by the countless victories he's helped to score for the 'greater good of all'. He has a special skill for developing a strong bond of trust with all that serve alongside him, the result of having spent years in nature's greatest 'trust excercise': Letting your life rest in the hands of your allies and in turn, taking care of those who you are responsible for. |

|
| Physical characteristics: |
| Height/Weight: | 179 centimeters / 66 kilograms |
| Hair/Eyes: | Brown / Brown |
|
| Personality characteristics: |
| Dominants: | Direct, forthright, haunted |
| Notes: | Vansen is very sensitive about a couple of things: her perents and her ex lover. She expects when on a mission nothing less than 100% total effort and commitment. |
| Interests: | When off duty she can be found either in the holodecks practicing her flying skills or playing pool, or in Ten Forward in a concealed corner gazing at the stars. |
|
| Starfleet Experience: |
| Summary: | Before the of Borg were first seen by Starfleet, some colonies around the Neutrual Zone were attacked by the Borg. Shane saw her parents killed by a group of Borg in her home. Since that time she has sheltered and mothered her two sisters. She has grown weary of living for others and joined the Marines in memory of her parents and as an escape to the responsibility for the lives of her siblings.
She has blossomed into the Squadron leader of the 3rd Recon Battallion. Vansen is an effective leader, but her inter-personal skills leave something to be desired -- she is too intense. She leaves the inner workings of the group to her wingman.
Shane has had bad luck with relationships, with her parents dead and her only serious love, Captain John Oakes, murdered by the Borg, She is hesitant to let herself get close again to anyone except her family.
She has meories of the night that Captain John Oakes proposed to her -- it was on her graduation day from the Academy, they were to be married in 6 mnths. Then, on a mission one day, John was leading his squadron and was ambushed by a Borg cube. The matines fought well but succumbed to the power of the Borg cube. His last words to Shane were Sempher Fi "Always faithful, my friend." These tapes and personal items were given to her. She keeps them in her quarters. She remembers what he said about Marines when she joined them: "In space, no one can hear you scream... unless it's the battle cry of a Federation Marine: HOO-RAH!" He always made her laugh. She still has many memories of the good times they have had together. |

Commander Stephen Sirius |

 |
 |
| Post: | Former Chief of Operations U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-63100 |
| Species: | Human Male |
| Birthplace: | Key West, Florida, Earth, Sol System |
| Age: | 27 (in 2376) |
|
| Physical characteristics: |
| Height/Weight: | 172 centimeters / 83 kilograms |
| Hair/Eyes: | Brown / Green |
| Description: | Stephen is a very clean looking officer, with no facial hair, and always keeps in shape. He has a medium build, very athletic, surprisingly strong. |
| Notes: | Stephen was born and raised in Key West, Florida, Earth. There, he lived a rather laid-back lifestyle. As long as he can remember, he has always loved Starfleet and planned on joining as soon as he was old enough to enter the Academy. When he did finally enter the Academy, he did very well, and had a good time while he was there. He has continued his laid-back attitude ever since, yet he always gets the job done, and done well. |
|
| Personality characteristics: |
| Dominants: | Laid-back, thoughtful, strong-willed |
| Notes: | Sirius' laid-back personality has remained with him all his life, he is what some would call a 'slow burn', even so, it is unwise to cross him. Mr. Sirius is also a thoughtful, intellegent, strong-willed guy, who likes most people. He'd do almost anything for anyone, as long as they don't take advantage. |
| Interests: | His interests are many, his favorite being mountain biking. He loves to ride, nothing puts him in a better frame of mind. Stephen also enjoys camping, tennis, photography. Keep in mind, while he is always trying new things, these are some of his favorites. |
|
| Starfleet Experience: |
| Summary: | After graduating from the Academy, with fairly high marks, Stephen went on to join the crew of the U.S.S. Discova, and becoming Second Officer. He served onboard for one and a half years, and then decided he needed a change in his career. The change, was the U.S.S. Coronado, where he felt he could be truly happy. |

Lt. Commander Randall Browning |

 |
 |
| Post: | Former Chief Medical Officer U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-63100 |
| Birthplace: | Parthenon City, Athens VI |
| Species: | Human Male |
| Age: | 37 (in 2375) |
|
| Physical characteristics: |
| Height/Weight: | 177 centimeters / 73 kilograms |
| Hair/Eyes: | Brown / Black |
| Description: | Doctor Browning is of average height and has a moderate build. His eyes are dark and almost brooding, and he wears his hair tied in a ponytail. He has a long scar on the left side of his face, from his chin to about the level of his eyebrow. |
| Notes: | Browning has multiple artificial organs. |
|
| Personality characteristics: |
| Family: | Father: Admiral John Browning, Chief of Starfleet R & D, retired. Mother: Commander Martha Browning, Starfleet Security, retired. Siblings: Ensign Theo Browning, deceased. Wife: Lieutenant (Dr.) Annette Browning née Jameson, Starfleet Inactive, residing aboard U.S.S. Coronado. Child: Frederick Browning, missing, presumed deceased. |
| Dominants: | Hard-working, outgoing, self-reliant |
| Notes: | At ten, took three years of apprenticeship with father at Starfleet Command, as technician and learned how things work on a starship. He was accepted to Starfleet Academy, with preliminary exams leaning towards a medical career. He was hit with a Cardassian phaser during war; required replacement heart, left lung and stomach. When something is wrong with sickbay, he fixes it himself. He lost his wife and child a year ago in transporter accident. For a while, he was angst-ridden and quiet, and he only spoke of the event to superior officers during inquery. He then underwent psychological therapy and became what he once was. He's considered a first-rate doctor, student under Dr. Katherine Pulaski. He took his residency on board U.S.S. Enterprise, NCC-1701-D. On board Coronado, he receives almost regular updates on technology from his father who still has a few connections in Starfleet R & D. His ancestor was not terrestrial; genetic testing shows Betazoid genes. Ancestry is evident on most days, when patients report an almost uncanny ability to tell what their problems are. He is never going to ask "Tell me where it hurts." Will probably state more along the lines of "You have pain (points at afflicted area)...here?" with the patient always responding in the affirmative. |
| Interests: | Theology, technology, languages, anthropology, archaeology, writing, hand-to-hand combat (to relieve stress), stand-up comedy (to relieve crewmates' stress). |
|

Commander Cyrax |

 |
 |
| Post: | Former Chief Engineer U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-63100 |
| Species: | Viashino Male |
| Birthplace: | Qwa`tch`fo Hatchery, Dar`tha District, Viashin Prime |
| Age: | 24 (in 2375) |
|
| Physical characteristics: |
| Height/Weight: | 106 centimeters / 34 kilograms |
| Hair/Eyes: | None / Yellow
|
| Description: | Cyrax can only be described as. . . short. He is only 106 centimeters tall, but is of average height for the Viashino. His reptilian eyes are attuned for darkness, and his forked tongue only allows for hisses, clicks, and whistles, the true Viashino language. Fortunately, he has a univesal translator in his commbadge. His diminuative stature can prove an asset, enabling him to fit in areas his larger comrades cannot go. |
| Notes: | A Viashino's bone structure is very tough, when compared to most other races. Thus, the Viashino's teeth and claws (fingernails and toenails) are incredibly strong. A Viashino's claws can tear through duranium as easily as a phaser can. Unfortunately, this skeletal structure only leaves room for the largest and most necessary joints, such as elbows, wrists, shoulders, ankles, neck, hips, and knees. Viashino have jointless hands and feet. They also have a very tight muscular structure, that, while is very strong, is also subject to tears and rips. Over the millions of years, Viashino adapted to this by increasing their metabolic and thus cellular repair rate. Overall, they are ideal hunters. |
|
| Personality characteristics: |
| Family: | 47 Rookary Brothers, 22 Rookary sisters. |
| Dominants: | Determined, loyal, cunning |
| Notes: | Viashino in general tend to be loyal to their comrades. This comes from their evolution where they had to fight their way to the top of the food chain. Pack hunting was a very effective method of ensuring the safety of the group. Often the prey was rather intelligent, so Viashino are generally very crafty and original in finding solutions to problems. Cyrax is especially quick of wit, during the Kobyashi Maru scenario he managed to destroy 2 out of the 3 Romulan Warbirds before the ship was destroyed. |
| Interests: | Holodeck hunting programs, solving problems, winning arguements. |

| Name: |
Commander Raven Silver |

 |
 |
| Post: | Former Executive Officer U.S.S. Coronado, NCC-63100 |
| Species: | ½ Human / ½ Klingon (non-Imperial) Female |
| Birthplace: | I'doth City, Qo'nos |
| Age: | 32 (in 2375) |
|
| Physical characteristics: |
| Height/Weight: | 174 centimeters / 64 kilograms |
| Hair/Eyes: | Black / Blue |
| Description: | Raven Silver is a beautiful woman of a somewhat forbidding aspect. Almost indistinguishable from the human norm -- only her slanted eyebrows, and darker skin tone hint at her partially Klingon heritage. Her father R'dak came from the race of non-Imperial Klingons that ruled the Empire for centuries before being thrown down approximately 90 years ago. She is somewhat intimidating to those who do not know her very well -- she has little patience for those who only see her surface beauty. Raven moves gracefully... and nearly silently; her voice is direct unless annoyed. At those times, it becomes a dangerous, almost scary purr. |
|
| Personality characteristics: |
| Family: | Father: R'dak, son of J'dosh; Mother: Amanda Silver; Brothers: HoD Trogah (CO, I.K.V. Avenger), Esok; Sister: Dr. Jade Silver, M.D. |
| Dominants: | Aggressive, loyal, confident, demanding |
| Notes: | Following the Klingon / Federation peace that decended suddenly, and almost surprisingly, on Alpha quadrant, many Klingon / Human families were formed as the two races came into increasing contact. Raven Silver is typical of one of those matchings, between a human woman of strong personality and a Klingon ambassador. While Raven's sister was raised almost entirely by her mother, she and her two brothers were raised by her father. Raven is a strong, confident woman, and joined the Starfleet Marine Corps because it offered "the greatest challenge open to a human warrior." She has mellowed since uttering those words... but not much. |
| Interests: | Silver is a master martial artist, holding a second degree black belt in Kenpo Karate, and a "Master" rating at both the Klingon Mok'bara unarmed and Bat'leth armed forms. She is also somewhat fond of holonovels, though it is unknown which type she favors. |
